Although we can't build sails with the following dimensions, the rig dimensions called I, J, P & E provide the
industry standard for estimating the price of a new sail.
I - The distance from the intersection of the forestay and mast, down to the main deck abreast of the mast, at the
sheer line (not cabin top).
J - Base of the foretriangle. Measured horizontally from the foreside of the mast at the coachroof or deck to the
forestay at the bow
P - Distance from the top surface of the boom to the maxium mainsail halyard hoist, or the distance between black
bands on the mast.
E - Distance from the aft surface of the mast to your desired clew position, or the distance between black bands on
the boom
